Preparedness for Effective Emergency Response
Strengthen emergency response capacity of partner NGOs & Concern in collaboration with the national and local government, disaster management institutions to save lives and protect livelihoods of most vulnerable and affected population.
Emergency Response and rehabilitation in cyclone SIDR affected area
To provide relief including food and non-food support to the cyclone SIDR affected families. Rehabilitation support among the cyclone SIDR affected families by seed distribution, and livelihood equipments i,e, repair of country boat, power tiller and distribution van, professional tools kits. Creating immediate employment to the cyclone SIDR affected families through cash for work schemes.
Promotion of agricultural and fisheries activities.
Provide seedlings both timber and fruits among the targeted group for increase awareness on social forestry and provide training on the tree nursery management. Train the target group on sustainable agriculture and distribute seed and seedlings among them. Support to the farmers and fishermen on the modern technique and other related trade such as seed distribution, preservation and also advocacy and training on mushroom cultivation and other concern activities.
Promotion of safe water and sanitation
Rising awareness of grass root level people for using sanitary latrine and safe drinking water. Arrange linking for the target group with the local government to get requisite support on sanitation and safe drinking water.
Target Ultra Poor
Ashroy Foundation started a new project named Target Ultra Poor from May 2008 by the help of BRAC in a part of Chalna and Pankhali Union of Dacop upazilla under Khulna district. Mainly the development of their fortune by reducing the poverty is the goal of this project and so the project leads the activities to make the ultra poor established. The activities has already started among 100 ultra poor families and duration is two years. By this time the survey has been completed. And the staffs those who involved in this project received the perfect training before starting the activities. Moreover the remarkable families will be given different types of training to involve with different professions as per their skills. To implement the project peacefully we proposed the local govt. representatives with the elites of the community to be involved and we did it.

Strengthening Adaptation Mechanism for the Progression of Risky Inhabitants under Transforming Environment (SAMPRITE)
Goal:
Enhance resilience of the community who are vulnerable to the effects of climate change particularly effect on flood.
Objective-1:
Enhance capacity of selected communities to increase their resilience to the adverse impacts of flood.
Objective-2:
Improve safe water, health & sanitation, food security, social protection of selected communities.
Activities:
Group formation and Baseline survey, Establishment of Community Mechanism, Homestead plinth raise for flood resilience, Installation of Sanitary latrine, Vegetable Seeds distribution for homestead gardening, Bashok plantation (Medicinal plant), Fruit trees plantation, Deep Tube well Installation, Re-excavation of ponds, Raise the plinth of school grounds, Repair and maintenance of link roads, Conduction of capacity building training for group leaders, Conduction of Project Inception Meeting, Organize Project Closing Meeting, Conduction of Staff Capacity Building Training, Organize Monthly Coordination Meeting.
